Luu Trong Lu - a poetic heart

Luu Trong Lu (1911 – August, 10, 1991) born at Cao Lao Hạ village, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh Province, who is a Vietnamese poet, writer, play writer. He attended Quốc học Huế (Hue national school), then moved to Hanoi to work as a writer and journalist.

He was one of the founders of the New Poetry Trend (Phong trào Thơ mới) in the late 1930’s. Among his famous publications were “Người Sơn Nhân” (Mountaineer), “Tiếng Thu” (Sound of Autumn) and “Người Con Gái Sông Gianh” (Girl of Gianh river).
